Aims: Using the technology acceptance model, this study aimed to determine whether a web-based screening tool to investigate physical burden is acceptable.
Instruments & Methods: This one-shot case study was conducted on 239 workers from a manufacturing company in East Java. Data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire developed through interviews, along with a 15-minute trial of a web-based workload assessment application, which was revised based on user feedback. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS software to test the technology acceptance model through path analysis.
Findings: Perceived utility (p<0.05) and perceived simplicity of use (p<0.05) of the application were positively and significantly influenced by Internet usage experience. Perceived usefulness had no significant effect on the intention to use the program (p>0.05), while perceived ease of use had a large and significant effect on future intention to use the application (behavioral intention; p<0.05). Additionally, actual system utilization was positively and significantly influenced by the desire to utilize the program. The data showed an excellent fit to the technology acceptance model.
Conclusion: The web-based screening tool to explore physical workload is well-received by workers, as its ease of use significantly influences their interest and future use.
</Abstract>

Instrument & Methods: This cross-sectional design with a quantitative approach was conducted on200 hypertensive patients living in the coastal areas of Wakatobi District selected using multistage cluster sampling. Data were collected through structured interviews using the WHO Quality of Life Assessment Instrument for quality of life, the Morisky Medication Adherence Scale for medication adherence, and questionnaires on social support, illness perception, knowledge, attitude, and motivation. Data analysis was done using Chi-square tests, and multivariate analysis using structural equation modeling-partial least squares with SmartPLS.
Findings: Social support, illness perception, knowledge, attitude, and motivation were significantly associated with medication adherence (p<0.05). Medication adherence was also significantly associated with quality of life (p=0.013). SEM-PLS confirmed that adherence served as a mediator in the relationship between determinant factors and quality of life.
Conclusion: Medication adherence plays a crucial mediating role in the relationship between determinant Factors and the quality of life of hypertensive patients in the coastal communities of Wakatobi District.
</Abstract>

Aims: Malaysia is a low and middle-income country situated in the Western Pacific Region, a region with one of the highest recorded drowning statistics worldwide. As a maritime nation with a rich water landscape and an equatorial environment and climate, Malaysia ranks 12th in the world for the highest rate of flood disasters. The current study aimed to understand how lifesaving professionals perceive drowning prevention approaches in Malaysia through the lens of the quintuple helix model, which encompasses five subsystems: the educational system, the political system, the economic system, the natural environment, and civil society.
Participants & Methods: This qualitative study was done on 11 lifeguards and/or lifesaving professionals from three distinct lifesaving associations selected using purposive sampling. In-depth one-on-one interviews were conducted with participants, and the interviews were audio recorded, transcribed, and analyzed using deductive thematic analysis.
Findings: Five predetermined main themes, namely political system, economic system, education system, natural environment, and civil society along with six sub-themes were obtained, resulting in the construction of a thematic framework.
Conclusion: This research highlights how lifesaving professionals perceive drowning prevention approaches in Malaysia, emphasizing the need for collaboration among relevant stakeholders to enhance these strategies.

Aims: Given the growing volume and fragmented nature of the literature, this study aimed to identify the conceptual structure and dominant intellectual trends in high-risk behaviors in Iran over the past two decades.
Instrument & Methods: This descriptive study employed a quantitative content analysis approach using scientometric indicators. The data comprised research articles indexed in the Islamic World Science Citation Center databases from 2005 to 2023. Co-word analysis and cluster analysis techniques were utilized for data analysis. VOSviewer software was used for conceptual clustering, and UCINET was employed to calculate the indices required for the strategic diagram.
Findings: The analysis identified nine main thematic clusters. The strategic diagram revealed that three clusters including “high-risk behaviors and protective factors,” “impulsivity and related disorders,” and “adolescent issues” constituted the core research area, occupying the first quadrant. Clusters, such as “student mental health” and “women’s physical health” were identified as specialized and mature yet peripheral areas in the second quadrant. Meanwhile, topics, like “novel therapeutic approaches” and “social capital” appeared in the third quadrant, representing underdeveloped and emerging themes.
Conclusion: The body of knowledge on high-risk behaviors in Iran has achieved structural maturity, characterized by a robust core focused on psychological mechanisms in adolescents.
</Abstract>

Aims: This study empirically examined the effects of psychological and social values on repurchase and recommendation intentions regarding dietary supplement consumption among active seniors in an aging society, and explored their implications for health promotion and social participation among older adults.
Instrument & Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted with 513 active seniors aged 55-75 in South Korea. A questionnaire was developed based on validated scales measuring selection attributes, psychological factors, repurchase intention, and recommendation intention. Multiple regression analyses were conducted to examine the key factors influencing consumer behavior.
Findings: Functional value exerted the strongest influence (β=0.402 for repurchase intention and β=0.294 for recommendation intention) among selection attributes and psychological factors. Repurchase intention was found to significantly predict recommendation intention (t=13.056, p<0.001), suggesting that consumption experiences promote positive word-of-mouth and the diffusion of health-promoting behaviors.
Conclusion: Active seniors’ consumption of dietary supplements is shaped by the complex interplay among trust, functional reliability, psychological satisfaction, and social recognition.

Aims: Tracheostomy is a well-known method for securing the airway, performed by creating an opening in the anterior trachea. Mobile health pulmonary rehabilitation programs for patients with respiratory disorders play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for these patients. The present study aimed to identify and determine the core educational modules and key features of the tracheostomy mobile health application.
Information & Methods: This systematic review was conducted in 2025. First, modules and key features were identified through a literature review of studies from five databases, including Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, Cochrane, and Embase. Then, these requirements were evaluated by relevant experts via a questionnaire.
Findings: Out of 1,119 articles retrieved, only four studies were eligible after screening. Fifty educational modules and key features were identified and reviewed by 20 relevant experts, categorized into five sections, including user profile, health status, educational hub, lifestyle, and key features.
Conclusion: Using mHealth apps provides a unique opportunity for tracheostomized individuals to manage their health status more effectively.

Aims: Mental health literacy and personal knowledge management are significant factors in enhancing the individual and social performance of students. This research examined the status of these two parameters and their relationship among medical university students.
Instrument & Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in 2024 involving 360 students from Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences. Participants were selected using a random stratified proportional sampling technique. Data collection was carried out through two questionnaires, one for mental health literacy and one for personal knowledge management. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics, independent t-tests, analysis of variance, LSD post-hoc tests, and correlation analysis.
Findings: The mean score of personal knowledge management in 50% of students was higher than the overall mean score, and 68.9% of students exhibited an insufficient level of MHL. There was a positive and significant relationship between mental health literacy and personal knowledge management (p=0.001). Women exhibited a higher level of mental health literacy (p=0.003), while men scored higher in personal knowledge management (p=0.001); PhD students had the highest scores in both parameters.
Conclusion: There is a direct and meaningful relationship between mental health literacy and personal knowledge management.
</Abstract>

Instrument & Methods: This observational study used the Infant and young child feeding model to assess the stunting prevention aspect. Data were collected using a Likert-scale assessment instrument, which was reviewed to determine its usefulness in standardizing documentation of psychoeducation prevention based on the elements of the infant and young child feeding model. Analysis was conducted using structural equation modeling-partial least squares.
Findings: Maternal characteristics (β=0.589; p=0.022), knowledge (β=0.741; p=0.034), health (β=0.716; p=0.033), nutritional status (β=0.591; p=0.016), exclusive breastfeeding (β=0.769; p=0.037), environmental sanitation (β=0.651; p=0.018), and husband’s support (β=0.691; p=0.027) were significantly related to outcomes.
Conclusion: The infant and young child feeding model demonstrates strong predictive power and validity in explaining the psychoeducational model.

Aims: This study aimed to translate and determine the psychometric properties of the Gerontopole Frailty Screening Tool in the elderly in Tehran.
Instrument & Methods: This cross-sectional study assessed the validity and reliability of the translated Gerontopole Frailty Screening Tool. Eleven experts evaluated the content validity of tool in the elderly after re-translation into Persian. With 214 elderly participants, we assessed convergent validity and concurrent validity. A receiver operating characteristic curve was used to determine sensitivity, specificity, and the cutoff point. Cohen’s Kappa was used to assess the external consistency of the tool, and Cronbach’s alpha was used to assess its internal consistency.
Findings: The participants included 44.9% women and 55.1% men. The overall kappa coefficient between the two evaluators was 0.826, and the Cronbach’s alpha coefficient for the tool was estimated at 0.757. To determine convergent validity and concurrent validity, the correlations between the Gerontopole Frailty Screening Tool and the Stanford Questionnaire were 0.519, with Abbreviated Mental Test Score 0.247, with Mini Nutritional Assessment 0.214, and with Geriatric Depression Scale 0.258 (p<0.05). The known-groups validity was not significant based on age. Also, the sensitivity and specificity based on the receiver operating characteristic curve at cutoff point 3 were 75% and 65.8%, respectively. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve was estimated to be 0.785.
Conclusion: The Persian version of the Gerontopole Frailty Screening Tool is a valid and reliable instrument to determine frailty in Iranian elderly at the level of primary care.

Aims: This study aimed to develop the American national institutes for social advancement education model to support anemia prevention through a digital approach.
Materials & Methods: This quantitative research employed a research and development design that included model development, expert validation, one-on-one testing, small-group testing, and effectiveness testing using a pre-post-test design. Participants included pregnant women in Merangin District, Jambi Province selected using purposive sampling. Validated and reliable questionnaires measured knowledge and attitudes. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney U tests.
Findings: The American national institutes for social advancement model was considered feasible based on assessments of navigation, language clarity, content completeness, visual appeal, and technical performance. Effectiveness testing showed a significant improvement in mothers’ knowledge after the intervention (p<0.001) and a significant improvement in attitudes (p<0.001). Between-group comparisons indicated that the intervention group had significantly higher post-test knowledge than the control group (p<0.001), although the differences in attitudes were not statistically significant (p=0.252).
Conclusion: The American national institutes for social advancement model is effective in improving knowledge and enhancing attitudes related to anemia prevention among pregnant women.

Aims: Given the increasing prevalence of hypertension and its adverse effects on the quality of life of individuals, and considering the role of health literacy in promoting personal responsibility for maintaining health, this study aimed to determine the relationship between health literacy and quality of life among patients with high blood pressure.
Instrument & Methods: In this cross-sectional descriptive-analytical study, 200 patients with hypertension referred to health centers in Qaen in 2024 were selected through one-stage cluster sampling. Data collection tools included demographic and background characteristics questionnaire, the short version of the Health Literacy Adult Questionnaire, and the Health-Related Quality of Life Questionnaire. Data were analyzed using SPSS software version 23 employing logistic regression analysis.
Findings: The mean scores for quality of life and health literacy were 24.589±3.587 (out of 48) and 55.370±3.147 (out of 100), respectively, and both were at unfavorable levels. Education level, amount of physical activity per week, and health literacy were associated with having a favorable quality of life.
Conclusion: Quality of life is lower among illiterate hypertensive patients, those with lower levels of physical activity, and those with insufficient health literacy.

Aims: Donation after brain death serves as the most effective source of transplantable organs. However, Iran experiences a concerning disparity between potential and actual donors, with an alarming shortfall in conversion rates despite numerous annual brain death cases. This study aimed to evaluate knowledge, attitudes, experiences, and predictors of organ donor card registration among non-medical students in southeastern Iran.
Instrument & Methods: This cross-sectional study employing multi-stage random sampling was conducted from June 2022 to June 2023 at the University of Sistan and Baluchestan. Data collection utilized a validated questionnaire with strong content validity (content validity ratio>0.8, content validity ratio>0.62) and internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha: 0.71 for knowledge, 0.70 for attitude). Analysis incorporated descriptive statistics and analytical methods, including logistic regression, with significance set at p<0.05.
Findings: Among 320 participants (mean age: 22.49±2.11 years), females predominated (53.4%). Most students pursued Bachelor’s degrees (90.6%) in Social Sciences (51.6%). Only 11.9% were registered donors. Knowledge levels were primarily moderate (53.1%), while attitudes were largely positive (96.6% moderate-to-good). The regression model (Nagelkerke R²=0.52) identified personal experiences as the sole significant registration predictor (odds ratio: 3.86, 95% confidence interval: 2.43-6.13, p<0.001).
Conclusion: Personal experience with organ donation is the main predictor of registering for a posthumous organ donation card among non-medical students, while knowledge and attitudes do not predict behavior, highlighting an intention–behavior gap.
</Abstract>

Aims: This study aimed to examine the influence of prenatal care quality on patient satisfaction and its subsequent effects on hospital reputation and intention to revisit among women receiving antenatal services in rural Indonesia.
Instrument & Methods: This cross-sectional analytical study was conducted at a maternal and child hospital in Tabanan, Bali, involving 181 pregnant women receiving antenatal care. Data were collected using the validated Quality of Prenatal Care Questionnaire and analyzed with partial least squares-structural equation modeling to evaluate the direct and mediating relationships among constructs.
Findings: The model demonstrated substantial explanatory power (R²=0.667 for satisfaction, 0.700 for reputation, and 0.718 for revisit intention). Three dimensions of prenatal care quality—sufficient time (β=0.260, p=0.041), availability (β=0.197, p=0.012), and support and respect (β=0.413, p=0.002)—significantly enhanced patient satisfaction. Satisfaction had a strong positive effect on hospital reputation (β=0.836, p<0.001) and a moderate effect on intention to revisit (β=0.276, p=0.013). Hospital reputation also significantly increased revisit intention (β=0.603, p<0.001).
Conclusion: Ensuring adequate consultation time, accessible services, and respectful, supportive care substantially improves satisfaction, strengthens hospital reputation, and fosters patient loyalty in rural maternal healthcare.
</Abstract>

Aims: This study aimed to examine the relationship between perceived social support and the university-to-work transition among graduates of the School of Health.
Instrument & Methods: This descriptive-analytical cross-sectional study was conducted on 227 graduates of the School of Public Health, Qazvin University of Medical Sciences, in the fields of public health, environmental health engineering, occupational health engineering, and health services management over three consecutive years (2023-2025). Data were collected via an online questionnaire developed using the Porsline platform, including demographic and educational parameters, the Multi-Dimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support, and University-To-Work Transition Scale. Analyses were performed using independent t-tests, Pearson correlation coefficients, ANOVA, and multivariate regression in SPSS version 25.
Findings: The mean age of the students was 22.89±1.04 years; 75.4% were female, 24.6% were male, and 45.6% were relatively satisfied with their field of study. Pearson correlation analysis revealed significant positive associations between university-to-work transition and the four transition competencies—concern (r=0.77, p=0.0001), curiosity (r=0.80, p=0.0001), confidence (r=0.74, p=0.0001), and control (r=0.75, p=0.0001)—as well as perceived social support from significant others (r=0.13, p=0.037). Multiple regression indicated that field of study, satisfaction with the field, family financial status, and perceived support from significant others accounted for 15% of the variance in university-to-work transition.
Conclusion: Strengthening transition competencies and social support, along with field alignment and finances, can improve graduates’ readiness for the university-to-work transition and their employment outcomes.
</Abstract>

Aims: The integrated health system or SIB is an electronic platform designed to record, manage, and integrate health information across healthcare centers. By connecting different service levels, it aims to improve data monitoring, coordination, and service delivery. Given its wide application in primary healthcare, this study aimed to evaluate the performance of the integrated health system from the perspective of staff working in health centers affiliated with Maragheh University of Medical Sciences.
Participants & Methods: This qualitative study was conducted in 2024 in health centers under the supervision of Maragheh University of Medical Sciences. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 26 key informants, including health workers, healthcare providers, and experienced personnel, selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis was performed using conventional content analysis with MAXQDA 10 software.
Findings: We identified five main themes and nine sub-themes, including system access challenges (internet disruptions and geographical limitations), infrastructural and technical issues (system errors, design weaknesses, limited system development, and support problems), human and occupational impacts (workload and ergonomic challenges), information management issues (data entry, maintenance, processing, and retrieval difficulties), and potential benefits, such as increased data accuracy and reduced errors.
Conclusion: The integrated health system plays a significant role in improving the quality of healthcare services through enhanced information management and integration of health-related data.

Aims: Cardiology training is essential for preventing and managing cardiovascular diseases. To align with global standards, this study compared the structure and approaches of cardiology training programs in Iran, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada.
Instrument & Methods: Using Bereday’s comparative model (description, interpretation, juxtaposition, comparison), data were obtained from official sources, including the latest ACGME requirements (reformatted 2025), Royal College of Canada competencies (effective July 2025), JRCPTB curriculum (2022), and Iran’s Ministry of Health program (2013).
Findings: Although all programs aim to produce competent cardiologists, they differed significantly. Iran’s shorter, high-intensity curriculum emphasized rapid clinical specialization with a limited research focus to meet urgent domestic needs. In contrast, the United States and Canada integrated clinical excellence with substantial research and innovation, while the United Kingdom prioritized longer, structured training with regulated hours to support work-life balance.
Conclusion: Cardiology training varies by country to meet different healthcare demands and resources, and international collaboration on adaptable core standards could elevate global training quality, with Iran moderating workloads and expanding research while others balance clinical mastery, research, and well-being.

Aims: Depression is the most common mental disorder worldwide, affecting a range of age groups, including adolescents and youth. This study aimed to provide a national model for a depression information system in Iranian adolescents and youth.
Materials & Methods: This applied study was conducted in three stages. In the first stage, depression information systems in different countries were examined through a literature review, and Denmark, the United States of America, China, Indonesia, and India were selected as the countries for conducting a comparative study. In the second stage, after reviewing information sources and conducting a comparative study in the selected countries, and considering the geographical and social conditions of Iran, a proposed model for the national depression information system in Iran was presented. In the third stage, the proposed model was validated using expert opinion obtained from specialists in psychiatry, psychology, and health information management, and was finally approved after incorporating their feedback.
Findings: Two parts, the structural components and the key processes of the information system, were identified as the main components of the proposed model for the information system on depression in adolescents and youth in Iran.
Conclusion: By implementing a national information system on depression in adolescents and youth, systematic access to accurate data and statistics related to depression in this population group will be provided. The model in the present study can provide an appropriate information infrastructure for the implementation of a national information system on depression in adolescents and youth in Iran.

Aims: The integration of artificial intelligence in healthcare represents a transformative shift in nursing practice and patient care delivery. This review article synthesized the current literature on the application of artificial intelligence in nursing practice and aimed to accelerate treatment processes for patients, with a focus on Iran.
Information & Methods: This systematic review analyzed multiple studies conducted between 2023 and 2025 on artificial intelligence integration in Iranian nursing practice published in databases, including PubMed, CINAHL, and Google Scholar, using keywords related to artificial intelligence, nursing, Iran, and patient treatment acceleration. Data from both qualitative and quantitative studies were synthesized to provide a comprehensive overview.
Findings: Iranian nurses demonstrated moderate acceptance (74.6% at moderate level) and positive attitudes (65.8% with good attitude) toward artificial intelligence despite significant knowledge gaps (41.1% with low knowledge). Artificial intelligence applications in Iranian healthcare settings have shown promise in predictive analytics, clinical decision support systems, and administrative task automation. Significant positive correlations were found between nurses’ knowledge and their attitude (R=0.311, p<0.001), application (R=0.514, p<0.001), and acceptance (R=0.381, p<0.001) of artificial intelligence technologies.
Conclusion: Artificial intelligence technologies hold significant promise for accelerating treatment processes in Iranian healthcare settings through enhanced decision-making, predictive analytics, and workflow automation.

Aims: Women are more likely to use herbal medicine than men. Considering the importance of women’s health, particularly during reproductive age, which is a crucial time for healthy life cycles, the aim of this study was to determine the predictors of herbal medicine use among reproductive-age Iranian women based on the socio-ecological model.
Instrument & Methods: This cross-sectional study included 190 reproductive-age Iranian women from Jahrom city, selected using multi-stage sampling. The data collection tool was a researcher-developed questionnaire comprising demographic information and the constructs of the socio-ecological model. Backward multiple logistic regression was used to identify predictors of herbal medicine use. Data analysis was performed using SPSS version 25.
Findings: The mean age of the participants was 33.84±9.66 years. Interpersonal factors (OR=1.30, p<0.001) and public policy factors (OR=1.20, p=0.01) could explain 38% of the variance in herbal medicine use.
Conclusion: Herbal medicine use among reproductive-age women is related to psychological and demographic factors, and interpersonal factors are the strongest predictor of herbal medicine use.

Aims: The limited number of studies specifically estimating the adoption of preventive behaviors for hypertension among adults highlights the need for further research. This study aimed to address this gap by measuring the adoption of these behaviors and examining contributing factors specifically within a rural resident population.
Instrument & Methods: In this descriptive-analytical cross-sectional study, 300 rural residents living in Qayenat County were selected through multi-stage random sampling in 2024. The data collection tool included a demographic and background characteristics checklist and a valid and reliable questionnaire to measure the adoption of preventive behaviors for hypertension. Data were analyzed using SPSS 23 with multiple linear regression.
Findings: The mean score for adopting preventive behaviors for hypertension among the rural residents studied were 15.18±1.21 out of 32, indicating an unfavorable level. Education level, the amount of physical activity per week, and the duration of hypertension were associated with adopting preventive behaviors for hypertension.
Conclusion: The adoption of preventive behaviors for hypertension is lower among rural residents with lower education levels, less physical activity per week, and a longer duration of hypertension.
