The sample size was selected by multistage random cluster sampling. Research tools were Beck Depression Inventory, and Rutter behavioral disorders questionnaire. Data were analyzed using T-tests in the SPSS software (ver. 18).Findings: Based on the findings of this study, more depressed mothers have children with more behavioral disorder. Aggression, hyperactivity, depression, anxiety, social dysfunction, and anti-social behaviors were seen more among students with depressed mothers comparing to students with non-depressed mothers. Conclusion: Maternal depression is related to a wide range of child outcomes, and the effects continue from birth into adulthood. Children of depressed mothers are two to three times more likely to develop a mood disorder, and are at increased risk for impaired functioning across multiple domains, including cognitive, social and academic functioning, and poor physical health. At the same time, many children of depressed mothers develop normally. Therefore, the key research goal is to understand the pathways and processes through which maternal depression affects children. Child psychological counseling and psychiatric management along with mothers’ treatment is advisable.}, Keywords = {Behavioral disorders,Student,Depressed and Non-Depressed mothers}, volume = {3}, Number = {4}, pages = {5-14}, publisher = {Afarand Scholarly Publishing Institute}, title_fa = {}, abstract_fa ={}, keywords_fa = {}, url = {http://hehp.modares.ac.ir/article-5-9368-en.html}, eprint = {http://hehp.modares.ac.ir/article-5-9368-en.pdf}, journal = {Health Education and Health Promotion}, issn = {2588-5715}, eissn = {2345-2897}, year = {2015} } @article{ author = {AmidiMazaheri, Maryam and Karbasi, Mojtab}, title = {General Mental Health and Aggression in Female Prisoners in Isfahan}, abstract ={Aim: This study was performed to investigate the general mental health and aggression in female prisoners in Isfahan with the aim of determining whether the scores of aggression and general mental health differ according to selected demographic characteristics. Methods: This cross-sectional, descriptive correlational study was performed in the central prison of Isfahan. Regarding the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 170 female prisoners were selected and completed the study self-administered questionnaires including Buss–Perry Aggression Questionnaire (BPAQ (and General Health Questionnaire (GHQ‑28) as well as demographic information. Data were analyzed by SPSS20.Findings: Five questionnaires were excluded due to deficiencies. Finally, 165 valid completed questionnaires were prepared for the analysis. According to the traditional ranking and cut-off point of 22 for GHQ‑28 scores, prevalence of suspected psychological disorders among participants was 87.9%. ANOVA test results showed significant differences between the GHQ-28 scores of participants with different characteristics. Females under 20 years old (P≤.001), single females (p=.015), and those who had no children (p=.021) reported higher scores in general mental health (higher values in the scale indicate more psychological symptoms) Likewise, there were significant differences between the BPAQ scores of participants with different characteristics (P≤.001).Conclusion: Younger and single female prisoners and those who had no children were suffering from lower mental health and more aggression. Osteoporosis begins in early adolescence. Therefore, educational programs should begin at an early age. The present research evaluated the effect of designed pamphlet on the knowledge of female seventh grader students in city of Andisheh, Shahriar County, Iran.Method: This RCT (Randomized Clinical Trial) study included experimental and control groups, each 70, which were attributed randomly. All participants completed the knowledge part of the questionnaire as pre-test. Then the experimental group received designed osteoporosis pamphlets, and post-test was carried out two months after the intervention, which was conducted on Jan 2016. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 21.Findings: The studied groups were similar in terms of demographic characteristics such as educational background, age, job and income. The results of paired t-test showed a significant difference before and two months after the intervention (p<0.001). Independent t-test showed a significant difference between the two groups (≤0.001) after two months. Conclusion: Pamphlet as an educational tool has a significant effect on the knowledge of osteoporosis on seventh grade girl students. In other words, the more is religiosity, the less are symptoms, and as a result, the more are mental health and vitality. Healthcare related are jobs among such occupations. Therefore, psychological and subjective well-being is especially important in staff working in the healthcare sector. The aim of the present study is to assess whether gratitude training affects psychological and subjective well-being in hospital staffs. Methods: This semi-experimental study with pre-test and post-test was performed in 2014 in 5 hospitals affiliated to Shiraz University of Medical Sciences. The total of 70 staff was randomly divided into two groups by convenience sampling method, using random block allocation. Afterwards, the participants in the experiment group had 10 group sessions of 90 minutes of gratitude training, while the control group did not receive any interventions. All participants completed Ryff‟s Scale of Psychological Well Being, Subjective Happiness Scale, Satisfaction with Life Scale, and Gratitude Questionnaire. The data were analyzed by multivariate analysis of covariance (Covariance) and SPSS software (version 18).Findings: According to research results, there was no significant difference between the mean scores of psychological well-being, domains of psychological well-being, subjective well-being, and gratitude between the two groups at baseline. Gratitude training significantly affected all domains of psychological well-being (except for autonomy) and subjective well-being.Conclusion: The findings suggest that gratitude training would be effective in enhancing psychological well-being and subjective well-being. The target population included couples applying for divorce in the Family Court of Borujerd. The sample included 130 couples, who were divided into two groups (group 1 with 65 couples who participated in multidisciplinary consulting program, and a group 2 with 65 couples who participated in common consulting program) through block size randomization. The data were collected using ENRICH Scale and analyzed using the SPSS21 software.Findings: The results revealed the positive effect of multidisciplinary consulting approach on the marital satisfaction of couples (P < 0.05).Conclusion: When couples apply for divorce, interventions are considered critical, and the sample loss and low efficacy of this program prove this special situation.
